Fair Isle Knitting
Fair Isle knitting is a traditional knitting technique used
to create patterns with multiple colours. It is named after Fair Isle, one of
the Shetland islands. As an introduction to Fair Isle knitting, students will
learn how to carry or strand yarn colors not in use as well as the technique of
weaving the strands with every stitch.
This will be accomplished by completing a tam designed by Kate Davies.
3 session course. Basic knitting skills required.
Price: $90.00 +HST. Includes cost of pattern to be purchased
from designer through Ravelry. Does not include cost of materials, available on
first day of class.
Materials can be purchased at The Yarn Shoppe at Cornerstone
Conditions of Class Registration:
All classes and workshops require payment in full upon
registration in order to confirm your spot. Registration can be made online, in
person at the store or by phone. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to class
will not be refunded but will be credited for another class. There are no
refunds provided for missed classes.
