Fair Isle Knitting

Fair Isle knitting is a traditional knitting technique used to create patterns with multiple colours. It is named after Fair Isle, one of the Shetland islands. As an introduction to Fair Isle knitting, students will learn how to carry or strand yarn colors not in use as well as the technique of weaving  the strands with every stitch. This will be accomplished by completing a tam designed by Kate Davies.

3 session course. Basic knitting skills required.

Price: $90.00 +HST. Includes cost of pattern to be purchased from designer through Ravelry. Does not include cost of materials, available on first day of class.

Materials can be purchased at The Yarn Shoppe at Cornerstone Farm.
